Awhile ago I spent 2 nights/days visiting my fellow Peace Corps volunteer and friend Rebecca. Rebecca lives in Eggleston, about 30 minutes from Roseau up in the mountains via a windy uphill road. While there, we took a nice walk down to the local spring where Rebecca goes regularly to collect her drinking water. She has running water at her place, but likes to drink the local spring water. Here are some photos I snapped as we walked--the road was surrounded by thick jungle and was cool, lush, and green---with plenty of exquisite flowers.
with a few homes along the upper part of the road

we slowly walked down hill... |

enjoying some splendid views..... |
until we eventually reached the spring.... |
where Rebecca filled her water bottles... |
and then we meandered on back up the hill toward her house... |
yes, these are poinsettias---they grow all over the island |
and back at Rebecca's I snapped this from her balcony....she has a charming view, and Dominica has rainbows almost daily... |
